Lord wants “better” for us than that we should struggle while saved. For this
reason, He took the “guesswork” from salvation. He has made things so easy that
we need not use our brains—but simply stand on faith.
Salvation
is lived and its blessings come by faith and faith, alone. For too long, the
concept of faith has been shrouded in mystery, while its premise is actually
very simple and is embodied in “accepting what God has already done.”
Our
responsibility is to accept all that is God and is of Him whether or not we
understand it. He asks us to accept only what He has done that is spiritual.
This means then that we must accept all that He has done for all is spiritual.
All
of the blessings of God are spiritual. He does nothing for our physical
well-being, alone. And why would He? You see, all who have joined themselves to
Him are now beyond the physical and have moved into the spiritual. Now, our
bodies are still subject to physical laws, but our spirit is unbounded in what
it can accomplish through Jesus Christ.
There
is nothing that happens to us that we can control. Our very lives depend upon
us understanding that we are totally dependent upon the Lord.
Any
authority that we have, we enjoy because of the One to Whom we belong. If we
are submitted to Him, we will have all the power we need to enable us to carry
out His work.
As
long as we look to ourselves to be able to do anything, we are reinforcing a
focus upon the natural. The more we do this, the worse we find our struggle.
That “struggle” is what it is because we constantly make choices as to what
will and will not please us.
“Preferences”
are a part of the fleshly make-up of the human being. The one who belongs to
the Lord will focus upon what he needs to know, do and be in order to be
pleasing to God. This person will be content knowing that He knows what we need
better than us.
The
“spiritual blessings” we enjoy at the hand of the Lord are ours as we find
ourselves in “heavenly places.” As we find ourselves in this “state of being,”
we will find that we never need ask God for any spiritual blessings.
To enjoy “spiritual blessings in heavenly places” means that one must desire to be in heavenly places. What will not be found “in heavenly places” is murmuring and complaining. There is never any room in the plan of God for anything but faith.
